Remote Tower Control is active according to AIP & NOTAM .
All other times it is G-air on the Swedish side and G / RMZ on the Norwegian side.

In Sälen TMA sector b and CTR sector b there are radio requirements even when Sälen TWR is closed (RMZ in Norwegian AIP/FIR)
LOCAL TRAFFIC REGULATIONS
1. Daily between 2100-0500 (2000-0400) the
aerodrome must not be used by aircraft certificated in
accordance with ICAO Annex 16, Volume I, Part II,
Chapter 2.
2. PPR for all traffic. PPR forms on AD website.
3. Marshalling mandatory for aircraft with wingspan
exceeding 18 m entering apron GA.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
1. Exemptions from requirements in CS ADR-DSN:
a). Precision approach runways – Fixed obstacles penetrate the
following obstacle limitation surfaces according to list:
b). Approach surface RWY 33
c). Horizontal surface
d). Conical surface
e). RWY Centre Line lights are evenly spaced at 14.88 m.
f). Turnpads are not designed for the longest code E aircraft,
more information O/R.

General information
The nearest airport is Mora/Siljan Airport which is located about 85 km south east of Scandinavian Mountains Airport. There are no other small airports in the immediate area on the Swedish side.
Adjacent sectors in Sweden are controlled by ATCC Stockholm (LFV) and adjacent sectors in Norway are controlled by Oslo ACC ( Avinor Flysikring AS).
On the Norwegian side there are two smaller airports, Trysil Sæteråsen and Ljørdalen. VFR must be flown between these two airports at about 4000 ft AMSL. This applies in addition to traffic with light aircraft, gliders, parachuting and advanced flight (VFR) which is conducted on Trysil Saeteråsen.
The airspace around Sälen TMA is uncontrolled up to FL95 on both the Swedish and Norwegian sides of the national border.
There are two R areas in the area, ES R13 and ES R200
ES R 13 is located in the north.
ES R 200 is located in the southern part of Sälen supplementary TMA and is a restricted area for gliding that can be activated between 15 May and 15 September up to FL195.
Low visibility procedures (LVP) established
LVP are established and will be in force at latest when RVR
falls below 550 m and/or the cloudbase is less than 200 ft or
on request. The application of LVP will be announced by
ATC.
When LVP is applied only one aircraft or vehicles are allowed
in the LVP area (same as manoeuvring area on
AD 2 ESKS 2-1).
